Raising the Bar on Chocolate Chuckle Chip

Posted by The Happy Baker on November 13, 2010 at 6:40 AM

Could my first blog posting really have begun with anything other than a reverent nod to that delightful, comforting, sure-to-fix-what-ails-you "food" also known as chocolate?

Need to be at the Market (Ybor City Saturday Market) in less than an hour, but I couldn't wait to tell you all about the new Banana Bread we tested last night.  Are you sitting down?  Of course your are.  OK, breathe deeply and read slowly:  Our best seller, Chocolate Chuckle Chip, jut got better.  I added white chocolate chips, and if our loyal citizens of Happy Baker Nation weren't so civilized, it might start a riot.  We may have to bring a security detail to the Market just in case.

I'm tempted to add Macadamia nuts to really seal the deal, but to date, we've stayed away from nuts.  So many of our customers breathe a sigh of relief when they find out there isn't a nut within miles of our kitchen.  Allergies being as prevalent as they are, we'd just as soon stay nut-free.  But boy would those boombera, Queensland nuts, Maroochi nuts, or whatever you like to call them pair nicely with those white chocolate chips!

What do you think?  Post a comment and tell us what you think of our new flavor (that is, without having tasted it, does it appeal to you?) and if you think we should add Macadamia nuts to it.  And while you're at it, why not suggest a name for this potential new variety of our delicious Banana Bread?  If we take the bread to Market with your new name, you'll win a free loaf for yourself!

Some parameters:

The name, like our others, must include a synonym for happy, happiness, smiling, etc. and/or an alliteration (repetition of a particular sound in the first syllables of a series of words), as in Classic Coconut, Chocolate Chuckle Chip, Go Bananas!, Blueberry Bliss, and Pilgrim Pumpkin.

Have at it, Citizens!  We can't wait to hear what you come up with.

Better get to the Market.

Hope to see some of you there,

The Happy Baker

For with nuts, chewily chocalicious? Also, I would brave the side effects of gluten if you added macadamias

Oxox y'all

Thank you so much for the kind words, James. We can't wait to see your new shop and we can't wait to start filling it with Banana Bread.
Folks, whenever you're in Gulfport (FL), you HAVE to stop in to T and Me Tea Company (www.tandmeteaco.com) and try their Ginger-Green Apple frost tea. It's a Happy Baker favorite. In fact, don't wait 'til you're IN Gulfport, get over there as soon as you can!
